In recent times the relations between Lebanon and Ireland were at its peak through the outstanding performance of Irish Troops in Peacekeeping in the South of Lebanon. A contribution of Ireland in a UN mission since 1978 that left a saga of goodwill and relations with the South and its people.
Good relations among Nations are not different than Individual ones.It requires maintenance and continuity identified as ”Cultural Diplomacy” that often has long lasting effects that compliments goodwill with deeds.
Ireland is now home for at Two Thousand Lebanese born Citizens that aim at maintaining its Heritage while embracing the Celtic and Irish ways.
Thus the formation of the Irish Lebanese Cultural Foundation in Nov 22, 2001 was a natural progression . Its success and continuation till date is due to the prominent factor of its Cultural activities far distant from religious, political or social or profit divides.
